I’m Geoff Schroder — a 62-year-old independent business analyst, lifelong learner, and single father of three amazing kids.
For over three decades, I’ve worked across a wide range of sectors — including insurance, oil & gas, health care, transportation, and children’s services. As a certified business analyst, I specialize in helping organizations make sense of complexity. I design taxonomies, frameworks, and structured approaches to decision-making that create clarity and long-term value. Whether I’m eliciting business requirements or mapping out stakeholder needs, my goal has always been the same: make information meaningful and actionable.
But that’s only part of the story.
Beneath my professional path lies a deeper passion: understanding life, learning from it, and sharing those insights with others.
For years, journaling has been my anchor — a quiet practice that has helped me reflect, realign, and rediscover what matters most. Through documenting my thoughts, I’ve come to see life as something we can design, not just experience. Every journal entry is a building block in a larger framework — a Personal Book of Knowledge (PBOK) — that helps make sense of who I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m going.
That philosophy has grown into JournaledLife — my website and life’s work. It’s a space for thoughtful people to create their own life frameworks, track their evolution, and turn personal insight into purposeful living. I built it for people like me: systems thinkers, deep reflectors, and curious explorers who want more than surface-level advice. People who want to build a life that’s not only productive, but meaningful.
My life purpose continues to evolve, but today it’s centered around discovering, analyzing, innovating, and communicating patterns — in knowledge, in systems, and in life itself. I believe that every experience we have is a lens through which we can refine our vision and increase the value we offer to the world.
If you’re someone who thinks deeply, journals intentionally, and wants to live by design — not by default — I invite you to explore JournaledLife. Wherever you are in your journey, I hope it can be a source of clarity, inspiration, and practical guidance.
Let’s build something meaningful — one note, one insight, one reflection at a time.
